Membership

Is membership free?

Yes! Basic membership is completely free. You can join our community and start sharing your memories at no cost.

What are the limitations of Basic membership?

Basic membership has limitations for:

  • Number of albums you can create
  • Number of photos you can upload (100 photos total)
  • Number of users you can invite to your diary

Account

How do I create an account?

  1. Go to Babiry.com
  2. Click Sign Up
  3. Enter your email address, password, and username
  4. Click Create Account

You can also register with your Facebook account.

How do I log in?

  1. Click Log In
  2. Enter your email address and password
  3. Click Log In

I forgot my password - what do I do?

  1. Click Forgot Password? on the login page
  2. Enter your email address
  3. You'll receive a link via email to create a new password

NOTE: After 3 failed login attempts, your account will be locked for 3 hours.

Why do I need to provide my email address?

We use your email address to:

  • Send password reset links
  • Notify you about important updates

We will never sell your email address or share it with third parties.

How secure is my password?

Your password is stored using one-way encryption. This means the password is converted into a form that cannot be reversed. No one can read your password, not even us. If you forget your password, you must create a new one.

Can I change my username?

Normally, usernames cannot be changed. If you have an important reason, contact our support via the contact page and explain why you want to change it.

Can I change my email address?

Yes, via account settings:

  1. Go to My Account → Settings
  2. Change your email address
  3. Confirm the new address via email

NOTE: An email address can only be used for one account.

How do I change my profile picture?

  1. Go to My Account → Settings
  2. Click Change Profile Picture
  3. Upload a new image from your computer

How do I close my account?

Contact us via the contact page and provide:

  • Your username
  • Reason for closing your account

We will process your request as soon as possible.

Diary

How do I change my diary's profile picture?

  1. Go to your diary's administration page
  2. Click the pencil icon next to the profile picture
  3. Choose to:
    • Upload a new image
    • Select from existing images in the diary
    • Remove the current image

How do I change the cover image?

  1. Go to your diary's homepage
  2. Click the icon in the upper right corner of the cover
  3. Select Change Cover Image
  4. Upload a new image or select from existing ones

Recommended size: 1110px wide × 300px high (minimum 800px × 150px)

Who can read my diary?

You decide by choosing a privacy setting:

  • Private - Only you and co-owners can read
  • Members Only - Only logged-in users
  • Password Protected - Requires a password you choose
  • Open to All - Anyone can read

NOTE: Name, description, and profile picture are always visible, except when the diary is private.

Children

How do I add a child?

  1. Go to your diary's homepage
  2. Click Add Child
  3. Enter the child's name and birthdate
  4. Click Create

How do I record my child's height and weight?

  1. Go to the child's profile
  2. Click the Growth tab
  3. Click Add Growth
  4. Enter date, height, and weight
  5. Click Save

How do I add my child's progress?

  1. Go to the child's profile
  2. Click the Progress tab
  3. Click Add Progress
  4. Enter date, title, and description
  5. Click Save

What are memories?

Under the Memories tab, you can document important milestones such as:

  • Birth
  • First word
  • First step
  • Baptism
  • First day of preschool
  • And much more

Photo Albums

How do I create an album?

  1. Go to the Albums page
  2. Click Create Album
  3. Enter a title
  4. Choose a privacy setting
  5. Click Create

How do I upload photos?

  1. Open the album
  2. Click Add Photos
  3. Drag and drop photos or click Select Images
  4. Photos will upload automatically

Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF

How many photos can I upload?

  • Free account: 100 photos total, 100 per album
  • Paid account: Higher limits depending on plan

Who can see my photos?

You choose the privacy setting for each album:

  • Private - Only you and invited members
  • Members Only - All logged-in users
  • Open to All - Anyone

Can I delete albums?

Yes, you can delete any album you created, except system albums such as:

  • Uploaded avatars
  • Covers

Memory Books

What is a memory book?

A memory book is a collection of memories, progress entries, and photos that you can share with others. It's presented as an interactive book with pages that can be turned.

How do I create a memory book?

  1. Go to the child's profile
  2. Click Create Book
  3. Select content (memories, progress, photos)
  4. Customize appearance and style
  5. Save the book

How many memory books can I create?

  • Public books: 3 per child
  • Private books: 10 per child

Can I share memory books?

Yes! Depending on the privacy setting:

  • Public - Link is displayed on the child's page
  • Private - Only people with the link can read

Groups

What are groups?

Groups are communities where members can share experiences, advice, and support. You can join existing groups or create your own.

How do I create a group?

  1. Go to Groups
  2. Click Create Group
  3. Enter name, title, and description
  4. Choose a privacy setting
  5. Click Create

What privacy settings are available for groups?

  • Public - Anyone can find and read the group
  • Private - Visible in search, but requires membership to read
  • Secret - Invitation only, not visible in search
  • Members Only - Visible to all users with an account

How do I join a group?

  1. Search for groups or click an invitation link
  2. Click Join
  3. Wait for approval (for private groups)

How do I invite members to my group?

  1. Go to the group's administration page
  2. Click Invitations
  3. Enter username
  4. Send invitation

Invited members are automatically approved when they apply for membership.

What are categories in groups?

Categories help you organize posts in the group, for example:

  • General
  • Questions and Answers
  • Tips and Advice
  • Other

As an administrator, you can create and manage categories.

Can I post anonymously in a group?

It depends on the group's settings. Some groups allow anonymous posts, while others require you to show your name.

How do I report inappropriate content?

  1. Find the content you want to report
  2. Click the three dots (⋮)
  3. Select Report
  4. Describe the issue
  5. Click Submit

We review all reports and take appropriate action.
